PMI is an international non-profit organization focused on promoting professionalism in Project Management. To learn more about PMI, visit their Web site at www.pmi.org. For information concerning the values of PMI and the benefits of becoming a member of the Project Management Institute, and of this chapter, visit our PMI Membership page.

Making Project Management indispensable to Business Results is a major PMI objective. There are three key components to the PMI Eastern Idaho Chapter's support of this initiative. These include project management education, member involvement, and corporate involvement.

Project Management Education is a long-standing strength of our Chapter. Enrollment for our PMP Exam Reviews is high and the pass rate from this preparation class is >98%. We are developing a School Outreach program that will build relationships between the Chapter and area educational institutions.

Member Involvement is absolutely crucial to the success of the entirely volunteer-run Chapter. There are a number of ways for members to become involved in the Chapter's operations, programs, and events. All members (and potential members) are encouraged to take advantage of the educational and networking opportunities available at the monthly meetings, typically held the third Wednesday of every month. For members that prefer a more active role, volunteers are always welcome, in a wide range of areas and time commitments. Members are also welcome to share feedback with our Chapter leadership team at any time.

Corporate Involvement is highly encouraged in a number of ways. We also provide companies with a free website job listing service so they have direct access to our qualified member base.

As President for the 2020-2021 program year I would like to welcome returning and new members to what I envision will be another great year for the PMI Eastern Idaho Chapter.  As we enter into our next program year, I would like to thank everyone who has helped make the Eastern Idaho Chapter an on-going success.

I would like to introduce and thank each of our Chapter Officers for serving this year.

Carol Edgley VP of Membership & President Elect
Dana May Past President
Samantha Chaffin VP of Communications
Brett Brewerton VP of Finance
Emily Gallegos VP of Professional Development
Glenn Watkins VP of Programs

While we are constantly striving to provide value and benefit in a time of competing priorities between work, family and many other time demands, our primary goal is to provide each of our members with locally based education and training, mentoring, networking and volunteer opportunities throughout the year. All of which promotes the project management profession in eastern Idaho.

The success of the Chapter would not be possible without the active support of our members and chapter officers and I would like to take this opportunity to recognize all of you for your prior and continued service to the Chapter.

I am excited about this upcoming program year and am more than confident that our tradition of success will continue and make 2020-2021 the best year in our Chapter’s history. In order to accomplish this lofty goal, we request your continued involvement in as many events as possible and to encourage other colleagues who might not already be involved in the Chapter to become involved.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any Chapter Officer with any questions, comments or concerns. Our website provides contact information for all of us, so you may reach us directly.

It is a special honor and a privilege to begin my term as president of the PMI Eastern Idaho Chapter.

I look forward to hearing from you or seeing you at one of our many events this year.

Very truly yours,

Stacey Lilya
