Professional Development Units (PDUs) are credits needed for renewal of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Attending PMI Eastern Idaho Chapter events is an excellent way for credential holders to maintain their PMI certifications. One (1) hour of instruction related to project management, project risk, project scheduling or program management equals 1 PDU.

PDU Reporting Overview

PMI Eastern Idaho Chapter does not submit or track PDUs for members. However, reporting of PDUs is important. The Chapter will make every effort to assist each member in reporting of their own PDUs. The only place to report PDU information is the PMI Global Operations Center (GOC) website. Some suggestions for tracking and entering PDUs are:

  • Enter PDUs online regularly.
  • Keep all paperwork for classes, Professional Development Days (PDDs), webinars, etc.
  • Information on the events you've registered for at PMI Eastern Idaho Chapter, including monthly Chapter meetings, can be found through an inquiry to the Vice President of Communications, who maintains a record of Chapter meeting attendees.
  • Be prepared to be audited!
  • Do not wait until the 11th hour to submit your PDUs
