October Chapter Event- Portneuf Valley Brewing
October’s chapter event will be a tour/presentation of the Portneuf Valley Brewing (PVB) in Pocatello, Idaho.
Penny Pink, owner and chief cheerleader will be giving our members and guests a tour of the brewery operation followed by a meal of their delicious salad and pizzas. During the dinner meeting, s he will give a presentation talking about the evolution and history of the business. Penny will also talk about how she has applied her experience in project management to each phase of PVB’s business growth over the past 23 years of operation.
Pink worked on and off for about 20 years at the Idaho National Lab working her way up from doing environmental analytical chemistry, regulatory compliance and ultimately became the Environmental, Safety and Health Manager at the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Facility at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). During her employment at INL, Pink managed various multi-million dollar project assignments. In 1996, she started Portneuf Valley Brewing in Pocatello and has boot strapped her way through five phases of business expansion to build her current brewpub operation (restaurant and brewery).

Time: Tour starting at 6:00 pm with dinner/meeting 6:45 - 7:30 p.m.
Price per person: $15 for PMI chapter members and $20 for nonmembers
