President's Message
Message from the President – 2026-27 Program Year
Amy Adams, President – PMI Eastern Idaho Chapter
Dear Members of the PMI Eastern Idaho Chapter,
It is my privilege to step into the role of President for the 2026-27 program year. I want to thank the members and board who placed their trust in me, and I look forward to earning that trust further through the work we do together this year.
Before looking ahead, it's worth pausing to acknowledge what came before. Our chapter's standing as one of the oldest in the Project Management Institute isn't an accident. It's the result of years of members who showed up, volunteered their time, and cared enough to build something worth continuing. I'm grateful to Cody Lish, our outgoing past president, for his service and the groundwork he laid.
To our returning board members, Victor Dominguez, Justin Hughes, Levander Davis, and Jeremy Walker, thank you for your continued commitment. Your experience continues to elevate our chapter and I am happy to continue working with each of you. And to our newest board members, Matthew Alonzo and Annely Magallanes — welcome. I'm looking forward to what your perspectives will add to how we serve this chapter.
As I take on this role, my focus for the year centers on three things:
Accessibility. Project management is practiced by people at every stage of their career, and our chapter should reflect that. Whether you're pursuing certification, leading complex programs, or simply exploring the field, you should find something of value here.
Consistency. Good chapters are built on follow-through, events that happen as promised, communication that doesn't go quiet, and a board that's genuinely reachable. That's what I want members to be able to count on this year.
Involvement. A chapter is only as strong as its members' participation. I'd rather hear from you with ideas, feedback, or even frustrations than have you quietly disengage. Both help us improve, but only one gives us the chance to act on it.
None of this happens without you. Whether that means attending an event, volunteering an hour, or simply recommending PMI Eastern Idaho to a colleague, your involvement is what keeps this chapter moving forward.
I'm looking forward to meeting many of you this year, and to the work ahead of us together. If you have thoughts, questions, or ways you'd like to get involved, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your President
Warm regards,
Amy Adams
